NZ army museum.

by on Aug.25, 2011, under Uncategorized

The Pukeokahu students went to The New Zealand national army museum and and they all told me a little bit about:

Jonny: My favourite part about the army museum was the greenstone, there they had a computer where you could search for people who died in the war. A lot of my ancestors died in France. I also liked the the medals because of the story of Mr. Judson.

Millie: My favourite part was when the tour guide told us all about the New Zealand S.A.S soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan and one got killed. The tour guide was really funny!

Tristin: My favourite part was the people who had there heads blown off. One guy had a hole in his head and another guy had only half a head and the third guy had to have a sack over his head because it was so gruesome!

Peita: We were in the recreation centre and we saw this Person eating something out of a tin can that looked like maggots! We all guessed what it was and then Mark our tour guide said that they were baked beans. He said do you get five plus a day? And we said yes. Then he said that its got five plus a day: The water, the sauce, the bean and once it gets into your mouth its got flies in it so that extra meat!

Grace: My favourite part was cooking the rashins of food, there was cat foody stuff that looked like mashed potato and it had carrots and stuff in it. My favourite exhibit was the seven barrel shot gun.

Snow plough

by on Aug.17, 2011, under The Whats, Uncategorized

Stinkys way of getting to her cat biscuits was by ploughing through the snow in a snow plough. To make the snow plough work stinky has to walk forwards.

When Stinky walks on the treadmill it makes the truck go forwards, to get her to walk forwards there is cat food in front of her. So of course she would walk towards the cat food!!!

When Richie landed.

by on Jun.16, 2011, under Uncategorized

Just a little poem I thought up….,

When Richie McCaw landed,

We immediately disbanded.

When I first saw thee,

I thought my eyes were deceiving me!

I rinsed out my eyes with water,

but I still saw Richie and the reporter.

The cameraman was so silent,

and everyone was so violent,

to get in front of the lens!

After all this we went down to the hall,

to gaze up at bobble heads that hung on the wall!*

* We actually got to make pictures of people doing things and then stick pics of Richie McCaws head on them, they looked like bobble heads!

Then we had a bake off,

Of course Richie won,

We thought we were done,

but ahead lies a challenge,

We go outside to see,

people chopping up the remains of a tree!

Pukeokahu school fair.

by on May.24, 2011, under special events

On Friday 20 of 2011 Pukeokahu school had a fundraising fair. Here is us drying the pine cones we collected to sell at the fair.

We had a big day at the fair. There was a baking stall, a games stall (me and Tristin ran that one), a face painting stall, a second hand stall and a manicure stall.

We also had a horse ride where you got led around the field on a horse for $2. We had raffles at the fair as well, there was: A lolly jar raffle, a boys raffle, a girls raffle and a cream pie the principal raffle!

Jonny won the cream pie the principal raffle and when the principal announced it Jonny shouted out: YES!!! He only won because he entered like ten times!

We also had a sausage sizzle and next to the sausage sizzle there was a container full of juice and there were plastic cups.

At the baking stall Millie made some toffees on a stick and my mum made caramello slice. The stall that raised the most money was probably the Baking stall.

The most popular game was probably Hitman. The face painting stall sold pine cones as well. The people that came to Pukeokahu school was Moawhango school and the Pukeokahu district.

We’d like to say thank you to Brian Sage for the music!

All the money that we raised went to the Westpac helicopter.
